Premier League Luiz to start v. Liverpool

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte confirmed that defender David Luiz will start on Friday against Liverpool in place of the injured John Terry, who will miss one week with an ankle injury.

"He's worked a lot in recent days on the defensive situations with the ball when we are in possession," said manager Antonio Conte.

"I'm confident about his performance [on Friday]. He's a good player and I'm very pleased because I have seen good things from him in the training sessions."

The 29-year-old defender arrived on deadline day from PSG two years after his world-record sale for a defender to the French giants. Luiz was named in the 18 on Sunday against Swansea City but didn't make his season debut, along with summer signing Marcos Alonso.
