Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son to a five-year contract through the 2020 season for a reported £21.9 million transfer fee.
“Spurs is such a big club and a really good team," Son told the club website.
“My goal has always been to play in the Premier League and I have a great opportunity to do that now with Tottenham – I am really happy about this."
No Bundesliga player has scored more league goals since 2012/13 than Son, who's notched 33 goal in that span between Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old South Korean made 87 appearance for Leverkusen in two season, scoring 29 goals.
Son has also scored 11 goals in 44 international caps for South Korean, including the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
“I’m very excited to play at White Hart Lane.
"I haven’t played at the stadium before but I’m looking forward to going there and performing for the Spurs fans as soon as possible. The support I get from the fans motivates me more and more."
