In einem Interview auf der Website des englischen Fußballverbandes FA gibt Mittelfeldspieler Steven Gerrard seinen Rücktritt aus dem Nationalteam Englands bekannt. Der Kapitän der "Three Lions“ spielte 14 Jahre für das Nationalteam und kam in diesem Zeitraum in 114 Spielen zum Einsatz.
